March Successes!

Two of our jobseekers have landed work in March 2015 and we couldn't be more thrilled!

Simone (not her real name) is one of our newest jobseekers having been referred to us by Thames Reach in London and her Jobcentre Plus earlier this year.

After registering for our services during which she disclosed she had a criminal record, she went on to complete our 2-day Induction with us in February.

With us she worked on her 'Clear Vision' CV, focussing on what she had to offer rather than her past. Within a matter of weeks she landed an interview for a full-time driving job and with renewed confidence she impressed the panel, receiving an offer shortly afterwards.

Simone will now be able to sign off Jobseekers Allowance giving her renewing her independence and self esteem and taking her one step further towards full time, fulfilling employment.

We met Dom at our Bath office last Autumn. During his Induction it was instantly clear that he would be a good fit for HandyHelp Co, keen as he was to continue his career as a gardener.

He's been working with HandyHelp throughout the winter during which time we've been supporting him in taking the next steps into work. Recently we recieved this feedback from a HandyHelp customer:

"..I was very impressed with Dom, and so was the client, so much so that he said that he would have no hesitation in hiring Dom again when circumstances warranted getting outside help
Thanks again for your help and for sending such a wonderful worker"

So we weren't in the least bit surprised (although utterly delighted!) when two weeks ago Dom was offered part time work as a gardener in the astonishing grounds of the Bath Priory hotel.

We couldn't be more proud of our jobseekers' successes, not least because the work they've found is in their chosen field. The numbers of jobseekers we have met in the first quarter of 2015 have been higher than at any time in Clean Slate's history and we'll be working closely with them all to help them follow in Simone and Dom's footsteps towards finding a job they love.
