How we’ll work together
At Clean Slate we’ll make your first steps into work as easy and smooth as possible. To get you started, we’ll sit down with you and talk through your choices and goals. If there’s something stopping you taking a job, like your health, housing, benefits, or reading/writing skills, we can put you in touch with specialist help.
We believe everyone is employable, but that some people just need more help and guidance to find their role. Many people have said that working with Clean Slate has given them new confidence, a sense of direction and the belief that they will find the right job.
Training at work
We focus on the work that's right for you. To make sure you're ready for it, we offer an informal but structured job preparation training package. We’ll support you in sharpening your job skills, updating your CV and targeting it to work that's right for you, and we’ll help you gain expertise in IT programmes including Word, email and the Internet. Right now, we are running this training on 2-day programmes for new recruits in London and, in preparation for work at public events later this year, they will also be learning about Health and Safety. (See the introductory guide here.)
Of course the training doesn’t just stop there. We also make sure you receive all the support you need on-the-job, including regular reviews and one-to one-advice if ever you need it.
One of the most useful things about our centres is that we can help you search for jobs online. So many jobs nowadays are advertised online and you have to apply online for many of them. While you’re getting to grips with IT, we can help you with this process.
